Lisa Valeri was a student at the University of Georgia right alongside Love Tractor and the other exciting new sounds coming out of Athens. After training to be a dancer with the Dayton Ballet, she found fertile ground at UGA for all of her interests including dance, horticulture, Italian language and literature set in an art scene that was willing to give space to anyone with an idea. Lisa moved to Nashville and put down deep roots in the dance community, winning recent recognition for her artistic direction and choreography. In this year of great change and reflection, she is launching a new company all her own, di Mossa. It is the synthesis of her past work, an enduring passion for beauty and meaning, and an ever-present push to keep moving.
Love Tractor has released a remixed and expanded edition of their self-titled debut album originally released in 1982 on DB Record, on all formats. The release was preceded by an exclusive Record Store Day 7” single consisting of two reimagined songs originally recorded during the Love Tractor sessions, 60 Degrees and Sunny b/w FESTI-vals. Love Tractor has been lovingly remixed by David Barbe and Bill Berry, and features liner-notes from R.E.M.'s Mike Mills, The B-52s Kate Pierson, and noted Rolling Stone writer/journalist Anthony DeCurtis. The album artwork has been reconceptualized by the band — all three visual artists.
