It’s because of AIPAC’s influence. Money in politics has made politicians in both parties complicit in the deaths of countless innocents, and some lawmakers are done remaining silent in the face of atrocities. Progressive lawmakers such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, and Mark Pocan—along with Republican Thomas Massie—have decided to call out AIPAC’s influence over the U.S. political system. In this video we’ll discuss their critique and explain how powerful lobbying groups like AIPAC have a detrimental impact on American democracy.
