There are probably many recipes
There are probably many recipes for tomato rice. This is a south Indian recipe for tomato rice (bhath) that really like every one. Serve with papadams and yoghurt.

Ingredients:
Rava (semolina) 1 cup-
Water 3 cups
Tomatoes 2 cups
Mustard seeds ¼ ts
Cumin seeds ¼ ts
Chana daal 1 ts
Urad daal 1 ts
Cashew nuts 5 g
Hing pinch
Green chilly chopped 3 n
Onion (medium size) 1 n
Ginger chopped 1 inch pieces
Curry leaves 2 spr
Salt
Turmeric 1 pinch
Lime juice 1 tb
Directions:
Heat ghee in a pan add mustard seeds, when mustard seeds is splutter, add cumin seeds, chana daal, Urad daal, cashew nuts, cook this cashew nuts gets golden in colour, add hing chopped green chilly, chopped onions, chopped ginger, curry leaves, turmeric, salt, tomatoes, water, comes to boil squeeze lime juice and add semolina (dry roast them) mix this well put the lid on let it cook for 3 minutes, switch off the flame, let it rest for 3 minutes then serve it.
Serve this with gun powder, peanut chutney, and sugar.
