In this video we teach you how to install and smart light Alexa light switch that has Alexa built in, and allows you to control the light switch with your voice and from your phone. What makes this smart light switch different from other smart light switches that it is not just a smart light switch but it has an Alexa speaker and microphone built directly into the smart light switch. You can use it to control the smart light switch but you can also use the smart light switch with Alexa built in just like an Echo Dot.
The smart light switch is a smart dimmer light switch with full range dimming and can be used in 3 way light switch configurations. The Alexa smart light switch from Leviton connects to your wifi network for remote control from the Leviton App, with Alexa devices or with the built in Alexa microphone and speaker on the Alexa smart light switch.

The Leviton Alexa smart light switch does not require a hub and will connect to standard wifi networks.
Overall my experience with the Leviton smart light switch with Alexa built in has been positive. The light switch is responsive and easy to control from the app or with the built in Alexa speaker and microphone. The Leviton smart light switch also worked with other Alexa devices in the home using voice commands and let me adjust the dimming levels with my voice.
Overall I was impressed by the accuracy and range of the microphone built in to the Alexa smart light switch, it easily understood my commands and could hear my commands at standard conversation volume levels from across the room.
