2016 I was diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism and underwent surgery to have an adenoma removed. I share this story because I know I am not the only person guilty of neglecting their health. I received so many lessons from this incidence, it changed my entire view in work/hustle culture. God only gives us one life to live and one body. We must take care of ourselves.
