The Duke of Cambridge has spoken of the importance of the precious bond between the UK and Ireland.
Prince William said that his family was determined to play its part in 'protecting, preserving and strengthening that bond'.
He was speaking at the Museum of Literature Ireland in Dublin at an event hosted by Irish deputy prime minister, Simon Coveney.
