In this video, we’ll be showing you how to upload videos to YouTube.
YouTube is the leading platform to share and publish video content on. Whether you’re a vlogger, comedian, engineer, or cat enthusiast, YouTube provides tools to publish your videos and even monetize them.
If you need to upload a video to YouTube, don’t worry! It’s easy (as long as your video is properly formatted). We will go through the steps to upload a video to YouTube.

➡️ First, make sure you have a YouTube account. If you don’t, creating one is easy and you probably already have one if you have a Google account.
➡️ Click the camera icon in the top-right and then Upload Video in the drop-down.
➡️ Select the video file to upload and wait for it to finish.
➡️ While it’s uploading you can start filling out the details of your video.
a. Change the Title and the Description. Try and add keywords into both to make it easier for viewers to find your video.
b. Tags are also an important part of your video. You’ll want to make the tags relevant and descriptive of what your video is about to help YouTube categorize it, recommend it, and for viewers to easily find it.
c. Finally, there are also Advanced Settings (disabling comments, age restriction, etc.). Take a look at these and see if there’s anything you might want to set.
➡️ You can also go to the YouTube Studio (previously known as the Creator Studio) to further edit your video with trimming capabilities, music, filters, and even more.
a. To get to the YouTube Studio, click your profile icon in the top-right and then click YouTube Studio in the drop-down.
b. Go to Videos from the menu on the left and find the video you would like to edit. YouTube has a great music library for creators, try and make use of that!
➡️ The video is currently still private, once we click Publish the video will go public and we will get a link that we can use to view it like anyone else. You can still access the Creator Studio for this video however.
