About-
Sant Logonwal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) was established in 1991. SLIET is located in the Sangrur district of Punjab.
SLIET is an autonomous body, fully funded by Govt. Of India and controlled by SLIET society.
SLIET was declared to a deemed to be university in 2007.
SLIET is approved by AICTE. It has been accredited by NAAC and NBA.
Campus-
SLIET is located 19 kilometers (12 mi) east of Sangrur. It is situated on 451 acres (183 ha) of land provided by the Punjab government.
SLIET has various clubs & student forums which span a range of interests among students. The clubs come under the purview of the Student-Faculty Welfare.
Each club is represented by a coordinator who co-ordinates the activities of the respective club.
There are 14 hostels (10 boys and 4 girls). The hostels are named after Indian scientists.

Admission procedure-
Candidate shall log on to www.sliet.ac.in and go for registration and submit their application.
After successfully submitting Online Application Form for SET-2019, kindly note down your Form Number for future reference.
Take PRINT of Registration Page.
the Registration Page duly filled in / signed should be sent to THE CHAIRMAN SET-2019, SANT LONGOWAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (SLIET), LONGOWAL – 148106 (DISTT. SANGRUR), PUNJAB in the envelope by Registered/Speed Post only, so as to reach within one week of the last date.
The candidate must retain a photocopy of his / her filled in Registration Page for future correspondence if required. The registration page shall be accepted by post within one week of the dates mentioned above.
If a candidate submits more than one Registration Page, his / her candidature shall liable to be canceled and debarred for future examination(s). No communication will be sent in this regard.
cutoff/Eligibility criteria-
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board or institution and should have qualified JEE (main).
Selection will be made on the basis of merit scored in JEE (MAIN) examination, followed by online counseling conducted by CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board).
Placement-
Last year about 150 companies visited the institute and approx 70% of students were placed.
some of the recruiters. GE, Godrej, Honda, Maruti, Samsung Electronics, TCS, Smartprix, L&T Infotech and much more are in the list.
The salary ranges from 3.1lakh per annum to 15 lakh per annum.
