Are you having intermittent misfires
Are you having intermittent misfires or "holes" when going on the gas? maybe you just feel that you have less power than usual? These problem will typically just get worse on this motor. The vag 1,8 T is notoriously weak on the ignition coils. this includes all the v.a.g s range with this motor. its occurring in so well Audi, ,Seat, VW and Skoda. They all share the same motor the 1,8 liter turbo charged engine.
If you just use it normally the ignition coils have a typical lifespan of 4-6 years (very short). But a tuned engine will be shortening that life!
Its very easy to do this yourself or DIY. you only need four basic tools and the new ignition coils. the coils cost between 30-40 euros/each.
