This lecture explains about the cell mediated immunity and the mechanism of innate immune response using the cell mediated immunity in human body. This type of immune response is fast and mediated by immune system cells such as macrophage, natural killer cell, neutrophil and many phagocytic cells that help in engulfing the pathogen and degrading it. Many antigen presenting cells also break these engulfed pathogen down and showcase that to the rest of immune system with MHC molecules on surface. Innate immunity cross talks with adaptive immunity and activates the adaptive immune response with the help of interleukins and Cytokine signalling.
