Let's go to The Ex!
In today's video, we head out to the Canadian National Exhibition (also known as the CNE or The Ex!). The CNE is a local tradition, which started in 1879, and runs every year for the two weeks leading up to Labour Day. We're joined by our friend Errol as we make our way through the grounds of the CNE, looking for unique treats, rides and shopping areas. We also check out the Toronto FC (TFC) MLS soccer game. Fun fact - having tickets to a TFC game or a concert at Budweiser Stage will allow you free admission to the CNE on the date of your ticketed event!
We're going to show you some of what the CNE has to offer, while discussing prices as we go. What do you think - is it still worth it to attend this event, or has inflation and the high cost of living in Toronto deterred you from attending in 2023? My name is Cate, and joining me is my husband James! We are from Toronto, Canada, where we live with our two cats, Manny and Tilly. We are childfree “elder millennials” who just love having fun together and filming our adventures. We decided to start this Vlog, mostly because of me! I (Cate) have a bachelor’s degree in Radio & TV, and worked in TV for 10+ years before switching fields - and I was looking for a way to explore my creative interests in filming and editing, but in a fun/not career focused way, and we came up with this channel!
