Hiccups:
• Hiccups usually do not require any medical attention
Symptoms to look for:
• Severe stomach ache
• Blood in cough
• Hiccups lasting for a couple of hours
• Hiccups starting immediately after some medication
Causes:
• Eating quickly
• Drinking aerated beverages
• Consuming spicy & hot foods
• Stress or excitement
Natural home remedy using cardamom powder:
1. Take 1 glass boiling water
2. Add 1 tsp cardamom powder
3. Mix well
4. Allow mixture to rest for 15 min
5. Strain the mixture
6. Let the child drink this once its lukewarm
Natural home remedy using mustard seeds and clarified butter:
1. Take ½ tsp mustard seeds
2. Add ½ tsp clarified butter
3. Mix well
4. Ask the child to swallow this mixture for quick relief
Natural home remedy asafoetida powder and clarified powder:
1. Take 1 tsp asafoetida powder
2. Add 1 tsp clarified butter
3. Mix well
4. Ask the child to swallow this mixture for quick relief
Tips:
• Drink a glass a water
• Suck on a slice of lemon or some sugar
