Dr. Sunirmal Sarkar explains how Lycopodium was earlier a tree 150-200 feet long and over millions of years it became very small. Hence survival was there but with lean, thin and emaciated condition.
He explains how the plant is very difficult to germinate only and 10-15% has capacity to germinate. The outer part of the plant has spores which are very hard and inner part is very soft like jelly.
He explains how delayed secondary sexual characteristics are a key note of the remedy. He also explains how lycopodium has an affinity for the liver and lungs.
