IMPORTANT : Note that this was done in patch 10.1, long before the 10.2.7 nerfs that made this soloable for everyone.

Finally, it's over. This has been a long time in the making, but with the release of season 2, it was only a matter of days before the Old God fell.

Mythic N'Zoth is very, very hard. As all sanity-based encounters, it is very tricky to solo because you have to handle alone raid mechanics meant for 20 people. Fortunately, the absurd power of Arcane is of great help in this endeavor.

The strategy I made is very "scripted" in the sense that anything that doesn't go the way I want  is an automatic reset.

00:00 - Intro
00:10 - Phase 1 : Engage the boss with the instance portal behind you. The first set of tentacles always spawn in the same place, which will be to your right and behind the boss. The most dangerous tentacle is the Corruptor, as it casts a debuff that removes 40 sanity when it expires. This can be Ice Blocked, althrough only once of course. Fortunately, they have low HP and can be interrupted. Basher tentacles are also annoying because they cast a raid-wide Haste debuff which will kill your DPS significantly. Fortunately, this spell can miss, and does so a lot. We will rely on this later.

Use Arcane Surge and Touch of the Magi to get rid of the first Corruptor and Basher, then go behind the boss and kill the second set. Don't get hit by the red puddles as they can drain Sanity.
Use Shifting Power, then use Touch of the Magi to get rid of the first Corruptor of the second set. Keep your interrupt for the second Corruptor.

00:42 - First Psychus: Here I had enough time to get rid of one Basher tentacle before going through the Mindgate. Highly recommended to reduce RNG later.

Killing the Psychus is pretty easy but must be done fast. Start in the middle, then kill 2 synapses and use Touch of the Magi to ramp up damage on Psychus. Use the ToTM aoe to get him to 3 stacks of Synaptic Shock and ramp up to ~1.5M on Touch to get him to low HP (you must not kill him too fast because of cooldowns)

Then, go around the room with Psychus while stalling for cooldowns. Keep Synaptic Shock up or it's a wipe. It's now time to get ready for burst. Use Shifting Power and Evocation, then finish Psychus and click on your body.

01:37 - Burst phase: Get close to N'Zoth so ToTM aoe kills all the small adds. At the start of the Burst, I use Greater Invisibility quickly followed by Counterspell on N'Zoth to de-aggro the Corruptor Tentacles so they exit combat and never cast on my. This ensures my Sanity is not drained.

You need a good burst to bring N'Zoth below 20% to enter the Mythic Phase. This is heavily reliant on RNG, as you need to never get by by the Basher Tentacles haste debuff or it's over. You also need to keep some Sanity.

Note that you cannot oneshot him (I tried) because the encounter script will prioritize the Mythic Phase over N'Zoth's death, even if he has 1 HP left. After the burst, use your extra button to gain some Sanity back. I killed a Corruptor tentacle, but it is not necessary.

02:14 - Mythic Phase. Very easy (this was my one and only attempt that made it here, and it was enough for a kill). I got hit by 2 haste debuffs from the Basher tentacles which lowered my DPS, but not a lot happens in this phase anyway. Get rid of the add and leave. Make sure you have cooldowns up for the final burst !

03:10 - Second Phase 2 (we skipped second Psyhus and 1st Phase 2) - You will inevitably lose all your Sanity, but it doesn't matter at that point (actually, it gives this achievement !). Use all cooldowns and nuke N'Zoth before getting mindcontrolled, and GG !

I know this was a long read, but it took me over 150 attempts to kill this one, spanning almost 5 months of attempts and theorycrafting. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
