what is #sensor? explain in Tamil.

Sensor which can convert the change in physical quantity like pressure, temperature ..converted into electrical signal.
Many different types of sensors used in all Technology.
Sensor is the HEART of measurement quantities. it such like wonder of the electronic components.

#Characteristics_of_Sensors

1. #High_Sensitivity: Sensitivity indicates how much the output of the       device changes with unit change in input (quantity to be measured).
2. #Linearity: The output should change linearly with the input.
3. #High_Resolution: Resolution is the smallest change in the input that the device can detect.
4. #Less_Noise and #Disturbance.
5. #Less_power_consumption.

#Types_of_Sensors:

#Direct_sensor: A sensor that can convert a non-electrical stimulus into an electrical signal    with intermediate stages, e.g. Thermocouple (temperature to voltage)
#Indirect_sensor: A sensor that multiple conversion steps to transform the measured signal into an electrical signal, for example a #fibre_optic displacement sensor
(Light Current, photons, current)

#Classification_of_Sensors:

1. #Active_and_passive_sensors: Based on power requirement sensors can be classified as
Active and passive.

#Active_sensors are those which do not require external power source for
their functioning. They generate power within themselves to operate and hence called as
Self-generating type. For example piezoelectric crystal generate electrical output (charge) when
subjected to acceleration.
#Passive_sensors require external power source for their functioning. Most of the resistive,
Inductive and capacitive sensors are passive (just as resistors, inductors and capacitors are
Called passive

2. #Analogy_and_Digital_sensor:
An analog sensor converts the physical quantity being an analog output like voltage. A digital sensor produces output in the form of pulse. Encoders are example of digital sensors.

3. #Contact_and_Non_Contact_Sensors:
Contact sensor: a sensor that requires a physical contact with stimulus. E.g. strain gauges, temperature sensors.Non-contact sensor: it does not any physical contact with stimulus. E.g. optical and magnetic sensors, infrared thermometers, etc.

4. #Absolute and #Relative_Sensors:
Absolute sensor: A sensor that reacts to a stimulus on an absolute scale, such as thermistors, strain gauges etc.,(thermistor always reads the absolute temperature)
Relative scale: The stimulus is sensed relative to a fixed or variable reference, for example thermocouple measures the temperature difference; pressure is often measured relative to atmospheric pressure.

5 .Classification as per Application:
Agriculture, Automotive, Civil engineering and construction, Domestic appliances, Commerce, Finance Environment, Meteorology, security, Energy, Information and Telecommunication, Health and medicine, Marine, Military and Space, Recreation and toys, Scientific measurement, Manufacturing and Transportation and many more…

Different Types of Sensors:

The following is a list of different types of sensors that are commonly used in various applications. All these sensors are used for measuring one of the physical properties like Temperature, Resistance, Capacitance, Conduction, Heat Transfer etc

#Proximity_Sensor
#Accelerometer
#IR_Sensor (Infrared Sensor)
#Pressure_Sensor
