When God is Hard to Comprehend | Chukat | Bill Cloud

Name of this portion is chukat which is translated as a “statute” or “ordinance.” As we have noted before, these statutes are supposedly beyond comprehension. Doesn't mean that the statute doesn't make sense; my sense just can't grasp it. There are many things in this portion that are hard to understand and topics that seem to have connection one to another but for what reason? These difficult-to-understand topics; the questions that arise should provoke us. Begins with one of the most puzzling in all of Scripture -- Red Heifer rites.
