Quince is an ancient fruit, found in Roman cooking and grown across Turkey and southeast Asia.
The quince fruit is in the same family as apples and pears.
It starts green colored and then ripens to a bright golden yellow color, and looks like a bumpy lemon.
The quince fruit is too hard to eat but it can be cooked to make it soft.
Quinces are mainly used for making marmalade, jam, pudding and liqueur !
After my Quince marmalade few months ago (Homemade Quince Marmalade),
I made today Quince liqueur.
It’s simple in the preparation and very tasty.
👉🏼 INGREDIENTS (for 2 bottles of 0.7L)
1 kg of quince (already washed, peeled and cut)
2 cinnamon stick
some vanilla sugar
400g of rock sugar
200ml of wite rum
