June 28, 2019: The Whitney Houston x Kygo remix of "Higher Love" was released as a digital single. Whitney’s cover version of the song (originally by Steve Winwood) was produced by Narada Michael Walden and released as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of her 1990 album 'I'm Your Baby Tonight.'
The updated Whitney x Kygo version became a worldwide success, hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, and the official music video for this version surpassed 180 million views on YouTube. “Higher Love” was also played immediately following President Joe Biden’s victory speech after the 2020 U.S. election.
