Bored of the same old roti sabzi? Well, you should try the protein-rich daal parantha for the much needed yummy break. This breakfast delicacy includes wheat flatbread stuffed with boiled and mashed dal laced with spices and salt. It is pan-fried with ghee and served hot with pickles, stews, or curries.

Originating from Punjab, this dish can also be filled with methi leaves, cabbage, potatoes for an even fulfilling mixture. We recommend topping it with butter for a melt-in-the-mouth treat!

Serves: 4

Ingredients:
• 1 cup Aashirvaad Atta
• ½ cup soaked Green Gram
• 4 tsp Oil
• 1 pinch Asafoetida
• ½ tsp Chilli powder
• ½ tsp Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp Aashirvaad Ghee
• Aashirvaad Salt as required

Method:
1. In a bowl add 1 cup Aashirvaad Atta, salt to taste and water as required and knead the dough for 10 minutes.
2. In a pan add oil, cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida and soaked daal, chilli powder and salt to taste.
3. On the other hand, make roti and stuff the prepared daal and cook on the pan till brown by greasing Aashirvaad Ghee on both sides and serve.
