● Unearthing the journey of the mighty Lord Ram-Sita through the lens of Luv and Kush is the magnificent narrative of COLORS upcoming show, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush.
● An artistic rendition of the revered Hindu scripture, Ramayan, the magnum opus with Ram and Sita at its center brings alive the virtues of faith, love, bravery, brotherhood and sacrifice.
● Through this epic tale, viewers will experience Luv and Kush’s quest to know their father’s identity and their curiosity which leads them to uncover the power in ‘Ram Naam’.
● Oblivious to their lineage, their pursuit to know the unknown and discovering their true identity only to begin the war to reunite Ram-Sita, the beginning of Uttar Ramayan.
● Produced by Swastik Productions, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush airs every Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm on COLORS.

Building a grand set, one that relates with the era
● The set is situated at Swastik Bhoomi, Umbergaon
● Spread across 1,20,000 sq. ft, the lavishness and grandeur is second to none.
● For the very first time, in the history of Indian television history, the largest indoor jungle has been created, the area across is 24,000 sq. ft.
● The Ram Darbar in its own takes an area of 18000 sq. ft.
● The set is divided into five parts i.e. the room of Ram and Sita, darbar of Lord Ram, the market place and palace exteriors and an indoor jungle that has and Valmiki’s ashram. ()
● The darbar of Lord Ram is decorated with shades of gemstones like ruby, emerald, sapphire etc. to bring out colorful dimensions.
● The Lotus asan hold around 1 lakh imitation stones embedded in it.
● The palace exterior has 16 life size horses especially molded to depict the victory and success of the kingdom.
● Tina Dharamsay’s vision has been brought to light. As the art director, she has infused the design with great aesthetic value
Costumes
● The costumes are designed by Shiba Priya Sen from Kolkata, known to have designed the costumes of the idols of ISKCON pls check this info with her
● All the costumes boast of a rich blend of culture and highlight regional authenticity. From banarasi sarees, georgette drapes and silk cloth, the costumes weave a story on their own
● A lot of handlooms have been handpicked from the cultural spots of Kolkata - Kumartuli and Shantiniketan
● Earthy and pragmatic define the color palette for all costumes
● Every character has a special look that highlights their characteristics and focuses on the nuances the era possessed
A musical delight
● 15 songs have been specially composed for Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush
● The track depicting the celebration/ victory has been sung by Udit Narayan and composed by Siddharth- Sangeet Haldipur
Fusion Dance with a twist
● The dances are choreographed by Chinni Prakash and his wife Rekha Chinni Prakash
● The dances will be a fusion of classical and folk style
Locale
● Some of the visuals in the show were shot in hard-to-shoot locations in rural Kashmir, where very few films have been shot, and no other television show has been shot before.
Visual Aesthetics
● Many actions sequences were shot in Kashmir, including that of Sita fighting off a pack of wolves.
● Since the wolves are composited in CGI, good quality of work was ensured.
● A chrome ball/ matte ball was used on location while shoot. This is a device that is only used in heavy graphics feature films, and its aides the post production people by providing an accurate lighting graph of the actual scene, so that they can match the CGI assets accordingly to give it a natural look.
