Sibilance – This “How I Produce” video is a part of a short Vocal Production series and is all about how to remove sibilance (s sound) from vocals. We look at different techniques used to de-ess vocals, including using plugins such as a de-esser, compression and noise gates, and isolating and processing sibilance.
Sibilant vocals can make your mixes sound harsh and tiring to listen to and so we need to know how to reduce these whistle s sounds. This video is aimed at beginner and intermediate musicians, audio engineers and home producers.
