Ending Blends are Blends that are located in the end of a word. Blends (Digraphs) are two letters that are united when voiced together, these letters either produce one sound, or when they are together only produce a combination of two sounds.
Some examples of Blends that are Voiced Consonant Blends. These are two Consonants that are said together. Some examples are: the "rd" in the word "Bird," "mp" in the word "Lamp," or "lp" in the word "Help."
Some examples of Blends where the letters produce one Unique Sound are: "Sh, Th, and Ch." Some examples of words with these type of Ending Blends are: Wish, Bath, or Pitch.
An example of a Ending Blend where one letter is not voiced is: "Mb" in the word "Thumb." In the word, "Thumb," the letter "b" is silent.
Regular Ending Blends, Unique Ending Blends, and Silent Blends are taught in separate Lessons. They are taught through stories in Book 3, through numerous Video Lessons, andby using Flashcards (Book 3, Blend Videos, and Blend Flashcards).

Step 4: 3 letter blending, Short Vowel Word Families
Step 5: Vowel song and Long vowels words
Step 6: Digraphs, Blends, Irregular letter sound combinations, Controlled R words.
