This is where the U.S lunch missiles at the alien ship that wants to destroy earth, with Apophis in. From start of stargate SG1season 2.

Just think, this is what may happen with a fake alien invasion that could be planned. Or on the other hand, these could be friendly aliens and just shows how antiquated earth weapons are and have no effect.
