Malala nominated for Nobel Peace Prize: huge global support for Pakistani schoolgirl activist

Malala Yousufzai the 15-year-old Pakistani advocate for girls' right to education, has been nominated for the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize. The teen who survived a Taliban assassination attempt was commended to for the Prize by three members of the Norwegian parliament. Yousufzai was shot in the head in October last year by Taliban gunmen who sought to silence her and stop her from quote 'promoting Western thinking'.
