Shabby Chic decor emerged in the great country houses of Britain, when middle-class families bought second-hand furniture from the homes of the wealthy to give their homes a touch of Victorian glamour.

One of the essential and inherent keys to the Shabby Chic decoration are the floral prints, which flood everything, the textiles: curtains, cushions, sheets; and tableware along with other accessories. The flowers printed on textiles are usually small, simple and in pastel tones where pink and different shades of violet, green and blue predominate.
Shabby Chic is a style that transmits sweetness, romanticism and peace, you should not necessarily use flower patterns, embroidery and pastel tones in everything... look for balance in your decoration with shades of white.
