The walking lunge is a favorite for many people looking to increase leg strength while tightening the glutes and improving balance. But what if you don't really have the space to do them? You don't want to do stationary or static lunges, you want some walking lunges. How about a treadmill?? If you're really good you can add in some dumbbells for extra resistance.

Strength Coach Brian Klepacki, MS, CSCS discusses walking lunges on a treadmill. Are they okay to do? Are they safe or discouraged in your gym? You never know until you ask OR get reprimanded by gym staff. Either way, these are a good option for some people looking for something different that's challenging.
