When the TASSIMO SUNY descale light (the spray icon, the third light from top) lights up, it means that it's time to descale your coffee machine.


Now remove the Service Disc from the bottom left of your machine and place it into your TASSIMO SUNY, where you normally place your T DISC (with the barcode facing down). Place a container of at least 9 fl. oz. (250 ml) on the cup stand and press the start/stop button. The TASSIMO cleaning cycle will now start.

When the display light stops flashing and lights up permantly, the cleaning cycle is finished. Empty the container and place the Service disc back in the machine. Fill the water tank with fresh water. Your TASSIMO SUNY is now clean and ready to make your favourite drink again.


Unplug the machine and remove the cup stand. Clean the cup platform under running water or in a dishwasher. Remove all removable parts from the machine: take the T DISC holder and the pressing device from the head of the machine. Clean disassembled parts under running water or in a dishwasher. Then clean the brewing unit, the barcode scanner window and the nozzle with a soft damp cloth. Assemble the piercing unit back together and insert back in place before inserting the T DISC holder and the cover. Plug the machine back in and turn the power on.

the only minor problem I have had is keeping the glass barcode reader window clean. if this is smudged it can't read the t-disc pod barcode properly so doesn't let you make coffee,  there's no warning light for this
