Leif Ove Andsnes is a Norwegian pianist called as “a pianist of magisterial elegance, power, and insight” by The New York Times and “one of the most gifted musicians of his generation” by the Wall Street Journal.
With his commanding technique and searching interpretations, the celebrated pianist has won acclaim worldwide, playing concertos and recitals in the world’s leading concert halls and with its foremost orchestras, while building an esteemed and extensive discography.

Student of the masterclass – Kārlis Bukovskis (Latvia), Emīls Dārziņš Music School /L. Muižarāja class/
Kārlis Bukovskis was born in 2002, and currently he is a II course (11th grade) student of Emīls Dārziņš Music School in piano class of teacher Ligita Muižarāja. In addition to studying at school, Kārlis develops his piano skills at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music with professor Juris Kalnciems.
In his 17 years, Kārlis has participated in concerts, festivals in Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Russia and Uzbekistan. He has been the winner of several international competitions and the winner of the Latvian Young Piano National Competition, winning the main prize in his age category.
Kārlis has delighted his listeners with two solo programs - Prelude (2016) and The Footsteps of the Great Liszt (2017), performing Sonata No 2 b minor, Paraphrase de concert sur Rigoletto, Nocturne No 3 in A flat Major from the cycle The Dream of Love.
He has given concerts with the Pskov and Kaunas Symphony Orchestras and the Lithuanian and Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestras. Collaborated with conductors: A. Dadashev, R. Sumilas, A. Kabdurahmanov, M. Barkauskas, M. Ozolins, N. Hondzinski playing E. Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16 (2015. 2016). P. Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No 1, B flat minor, op. 23 (2017. 2018), A. Zilinskis Piano Concerto in E minor (2018), S.Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No 3, D minor, op 30 (2020).
Kārlis also has participated in several masterclasses, including the brilliant Georgian pianist Eliso Virsaladze (2019).
