The Origin unfolds the conflict
The Origin unfolds the conflict of the obnoxious custom and tradition of Amaeze which states that giving birth to twins is a taboo and the victims must be sacrificed in the evil forest, and giving birth on the Eke Market day bestows the child to the king.
Agudene, A great warrior of Amaeze was a victim of this obnoxious tradition and custom, his wife Ojiugo gave birth to male twins and on the Eke market day. Thereby facing the challenge of twins and custom of the Eke market delivery. She was able to manipulate the custom of twins by giving one to the midwife, Thereby, living her with the challenge of overcoming the Eke market day tradition. As usual the king's guards demand the child, and Agudene says it is over his dead body.
