A tasty cocktail from Dario Schiavoni, Bar Director at Bvlgari Resort Dubai, to mix and shake your home-made aperitivo.

INGREDIENTS
Cocktail
✓ 30ml gin
✓ 30ml Oleo Saccharum syrup
✓ Ice cubes
✓ Half lemon
✓ Basil leaves
✓ Cucumber
Oleo Saccharum Syrup
✓ 1 chilly
✓ 4 lemons
✓ 200g sugar
✓ 200ml water
✓ 10 slices of ginger
✓ 10 leaves of basil
DIRECTIONS
Step 1: Home-made Oleo Saccharum syrup
1. Peel the lemons & cut the chilly in small cubes
2. Place the lemons’ peels, chilly, sugar, slices of ginger and basil leaves into a mixing bowl
3. Stir the preparation until all the ingredients are mixed & rest for an hour
4. Add the mixture and the water in a saucepan & boil for 3 minutes
5. Fitler the mixture & bottled the syrup
Step 2: BVLGARI Power Cocktail
1. Place the basil leaves into a shaker & use a muddler to crust the leaves
2. Add the gin and the Oleo Saccharum syrup with ice cubes & shake for few minutes
3. Serve in a glass & add some slices of cucumber for the garnish
Mocktail option: Pour the syrup into the glass directly and top it up with soda or sparkling water.
Special tip 1: The filtered ingredients of the syrup could be kept and use for infusion into warm water.
Special tip 2: Count until 3 to pour 30ml and until 4 for 40ml.
