In this new entry to the “What If” series for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild, we explore how the fan-favourite Dark Link might play a larger role in the story and events in Tears of the Kingdom. It began as an overarching similarity between the first Legend of Zelda game back in 1987 and the sequel, The Adventure of Link, but became so much more. Throughout this video, join me on an unpredictable journey of disparate oddities, mysteries, coincidences and absences that combine to build out a larger scenario than intended. From clues in BOTW to connections throughout multiple games, texts and even Japanese Shintoism, the collection of findings will give you plenty to consider.
The “What If” series is my way of exploring this world and its many mysteries through discovering new things to discuss and ponder, as well as speculating how these findings might further build out the lore of the Legend we all love so much. The aim is to entertain and inspire discussion and imagination. What I love about the Zelda community is the amazing people who never cease to amaze me in the way that find new ways of thinking and finding a different perspective to appreciate the world, history, and lore in new and interesting ways. You don’t have to agree or even like the material, and that’s more than fine with me. But either way, I’d love to hear from you.

I apologise for the delay in videos, I had surgery about 2 days after the last upload, so getting back in the swing is taking a little longer than I’d hope.
