The primary industry plays a strategic role worldwide. FAM manufactures a special bucket wheel excavator for the Chilean open-pit copper mine Radomiro Tomic. This so-called bucket wheel reclaimer is the largest of its kind in the world. With 1,000 kW of drive power, its bucket wheel can generate a nominal torque of 2,100 kNm. This gigantic power is transmitted by industrial gear units from SEW-EURODRIVE.
