Learn How To Play Banjo With Tony Trischka http://tonybanjoschool.com/ In this sample lesson, Tony Trischka discusses elements that were mastered distinctly by Earl Scruggs.

Earl Scruggs is a North Carolina born musician who pioneered and conquered the technique of three finger banjo picking style, which is now called the Scruggs Style. He rose to fame when he was hired by another famous bluegrass musician, Bill Monroe, to fill the banjo spot in his band, The Blue Grass Boys. His celebrity really took off after his performance became the theme song for a network television hit, The Beverly Hillbillies, in the 1960s. Having grown up in a musical environment with his father and all his siblings playing the banjo and guitar, with his mother on the organ, he has been making music since the very beginning. He made his mark in the world of bluegrass music before his passing in 2012. Tony Trischka is here to pass on the wisdom and the music of the great legend, Earl Scruggs.

Tony offers his enormous talent and expertise to teach banjo through hundreds of video lessons that range from a Beginner, just picking up the banjo, to Virtuoso.
