Would you like to sew your skirts alone?
You will first need a pattern to adjust it perfectly to your size!
In this tutorial, find all the steps to create your basic custom skirt pattern!
From this pattern you can then adapt it to create all the skirts you want!
In this first video we will learn how to make the pattern, we will use it in my next video where I will show you how to create a little slit skirt with this pattern!

---------------------------- MATERIAL: ------------------ ----------
- Rigid support of more or less 60x60cm (a card stock would be the must)
- A meter
- Scissors
- Pen
- A ruler
- A square (or something to make right angles)

STEP 1: TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS (1:13)
Since the publication I have had little advice from a professional!
To determine the length you put yourself in front of a mirror, you start by measuring 60cm from the waist and you reduce as you go
STEP 2: TRACING THE BASICS OF YOUR PATTERN (1:45)
The seam allowances are not included in the pattern
STEP 3: MARK THE CLAMPS (3:38)
The darts are useful for adjusting the skirt to the size difference between your hips and your waist.
For the middle dart, it is better to draw it a little rounded than straight so that it fits best on the top of your hips.
NOTES:
- A pattern represents half of your body, front and back.
To use a pattern you fold your fabric in half and put the pattern on it. This is to ensure that your clothes will always be symmetrical.
