Someone asked about putting on fursuits...here's how I put on mine (except for not pinning my hair up on my head, but whatever, lol, lazy fursuiting!). Please note that different fursuits may go on differently!

Just some notes for anyone new to fursuiting:

*I don't recommend you fursuit alone (I was alone several times last night in suit, and managed to trip on steps I couldn't see, have 2 different groups of people feel bad for me being alone, and was pestered by one creepy drunk lady, and that was considered to be a rather good solo fursuiting experience based on past experiences). A partner/handler will be your lifeline; they will help you out, talk to people for you (if you don't talk in suit), let you know about people who you can't see/hear, make sure you're safe, and generally help you be safe and have fun! Make sure to have someone you trust and who doesn't mind sticking with you while you're in character until you're done.

*Have a long straw. It comes in handy if you need some water, but can't suit down (like if there's nowhere to take your head off at, or you're around children). You can buy large packs of them. Always bring water with you when you go out in suit, even if you're going somewhere cold or only going out for a little while. Hydration is extremely important in suit! The last thing you need is to pass out or get sick.

*YOU WILL GET HOT! TAKE REGULAR BREAKS! I was out in 30 degree weather (or less) and I still got very hot. I forgot to get the temperature in my suit at its peak, but while I was feeling warm I did and it was 93 degrees in my suit. It may have gotten to 100 degrees. In 30 degree weather. That's a whopping 63 degree difference! Please, please, please pay attention to how the heat is affecting you when you're in suit, especially if you're new to it or you're like me and overheat easily. If you feel dizzy, your stomach is upset, you are unable to sweat, you have a hard time concentrating, you feel extremely hot, are seeing spots, have a headache, or just generally feel unwell, please remove your head ASAP and go find a way to cool off (fans are great! cold compresses on the back of your neck and forehead will also help a lot!), and if you're feeling really bad try to lay down. Your health needs to be top priority.

*Make sure where you're suiting at is safe. Don't wear your suit into stores where masks aren't allowed, unless you have permission (ask ahead, keep your ID handy, or only do this when there's an event happening where costumes are allowed and expected....and if someone asks you to leave, LEAVE and DO NOT ARGUE!). If you're like me and suit around drunken individuals, make sure to have someone with you who can look out for you at all times!! I HAVE been forcibly dragged away from my handler by a drunken adult before. I HAVE had drunken adults continue to hug or crowd me until I was very badly overheating. I hate to say it, but drunk people can be very dangerous to you in suit. Also be mindful around children and teenagers. Children may get scared of you (which, I have experienced, can lead to things like them hitting you...also scaring kids is NOT okay), or pull on your fursuit or otherwise do things that may damage it. Teenagers, though I've only encountered one bad one who thankfully was just scary instead of actually dangerous, can be rude and mess with you specifically because you're in a suit. And you really need to know your environment. It's very hard to see in the dark while in suit, uneven ground can be very problematic, you want to avoid areas that are dirty or wet to keep your suit clean, and overall you want to make sure you won't be somewhere where you can easily be hurt or hurt others (it's very easy to run into people!). Your peripheral vision will be severely lacking, you may not be able to move as quickly or as easily as normal, it may be a little harder to hear than normal, and your paws may present some challenges when it comes to something like door knobs or picking up smaller objects. If possible, scope out where you plan on suiting before hand.

*If you have any questions about furusiting, ask other fursuiters! =D

My suit (head, body, feet, and hands) was made by Sharpe19/SharpeCostumes, the tail I don't know who it was made by (purchased at BLFC 2015...if anyone knows who made it, let me know!!).
