How to perform
How to perform #adaptation of new car battery in Volkswagen Golf MK7 using OBDeleven after replacement. Quick coding procedure is required to make sure that the car will use the new battery properly. If your battery is old and does not perform as it should, you can experience some fault messages on the instrument cluster (ACC and Front Assist not available) because of the voltage drop while cranking the engine. Some modules can also loose their adaptation and parametrization while that's happening. Eventually your #battery will not be able to start the engine.
🛠 Replacement procedure
Disconnect negative terminal
Disconnect positive terminal
Remove battery heat isolation
Remove single bolt holding the battery at its base
Slide the battery toward yourself and remove it from vehicle
Install new battery performing above actions with reverse order
Perform new battery adaptation
Perform test drive to clear ESP and traction control faults

Module: 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → size/capacity → check if correct
Module: 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → manufacturer → check if correct
Module: 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → technology → check if correct
Module: 19 → Adaptation → Battery adaptation → serial number → change to different one
