MOLAR VOLUME OF A GAS Pre-Lab - NYA General Chemistry

Molar Volume of a Gas Pre Laboratory experimental procedure for the Dawson College NYA General Chemistry pre university course.
In this experiment the standard molar volume of hydrogen gas will be determined.  The gas, produced from the reaction of excess hydrochloric acid with magnesium, will be collected by water displacement.  The observed molar volume for the hydrogen gas will then be converted to the corresponding molar volume at STP and the result compared with that of an ideal gas.
