The Legendary Liliane Montevecchi sings "Folies Bergères" by Maury Yeston in “Kathi Moss’ Rama-Lama-Ding Dong Reunion”, Miss Montevecchi's signature song from her Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winning performance in “Nine”, and the entire company joins her for "And Life Goes On' by Robert Wright & George Forrest, from “Grand Hotel”, the musical for which she received her second Tony Award nomination.  In a career that spanned nearly seventy years, Miss Montevecchi danced for Rolan Petit, had a ballet written for her by Orson Welles and designed for her by Picasso, was painted by Salvador Dali, counted among her on screen leading men Elvis Presley in “King Creole”, Montgomery Clift & Marlon Brando in “The Young Lions”, Dan Dailey in “Meet Me in Las Vegas”, and Matthew McConaughey in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”. She starred in the “Folies Bergere” in Las Vegas and Paris and realized her greatest fame and the resurgence of her career when Tommy Tune cast her as Liliane Le Fleur, her Tony Award and Drama Desk winning role in “Nine”, and her Tony Award nominated role as Elizaveta Grushinskaya, the role immortalized on screen by Greta Gabo, in “Grand Hotel”.  Her many honors also include being knighted as Dame Liliane Montevecchi by the Knights of Malta in 1985, The Columbus Citizens Foundation’s 1995 Woman of the Year Award, The 2009 Boys Towns of Italy Entertainer of the Year Award, she was honored by the Minister of Culture as the “Officer of Arts and Culture to France and the World at Large” in 2013, and she received The Ziegfeld Society of New York’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. Most recently Miss Montevecchi received critical acclaim for her final screen appearance as the aging actress Judith Joubert in Jerome Reybaud’s award winning 2016 film “4 Days in France” (“Jours de France”). Burchett, Ted Seifman and Nick Padgett.
