TECO Peoples Gas expanding system to support growth in Jacksonville

To support the growth of JEA and other industrial customers, including the Pivotal LNG facility, in the Jacksonville area, TECO Peoples Gas (PGS) is investing more the $9 million to expand the PGS gas transmission and distribution systems.

The PGS Cypress Creek Extension project includes a new receipt point on the Kinder Morgan Cypress Pipeline west of Jacksonville, approximately 1.6 miles of 20-inch steel pipeline to tie-in to the existing PGS 20-inch transmission pipeline on Ford Road, and 1 mile of 12” distribution pipeline to connect Pivotal.

Construction has begun and is scheduled to be complete in 2017.
