How to File an RTI Request
1. Identify the Public Authority: Determine which department or office holds the information you seek.
2. Drafting the Application: Clearly state the information requested and address it to the designated Public Information Officer (PIO).
3. Application Fee: Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten) only.
4. Submission: Submit the application to the concerned PIO through online or offline modes.
- The RTI Act mandates a timeline for responding to RTI requests:
- 30 days for a response from the PIO.
- Failure to respond within the specified timeline is deemed as refusal.
