Mitsubishi Outlander - Electric Parking Brake (How To Select Maintenance Mode)

Step:
1.Make sure gear is in P position.
2.Turn On Ig switch.
3.Depress brake pedal.
4.Switch on Parking brake switch at least 10 times(= On-Off x10times,  2 sec approx between each push)
5.once it complete, a mesage displays "Parking  Brake Temporarily Not Available" and Red Brake indicator will blinking on panel.
6.Press Parking Brake Button once, to switch off.
7.Right after that,  press "AutoHold" switch On-Off at least 10times in 7 second.
After 10 times, press Parking Braking Button once.
8.When succesful, a msg will appear on panel "Parking Brake Service Required", & Yellow Brake Indicator light will illuminate.No-flashing.
9.Step your foot off from brake pedal.And turn Ig switch to Off.
10.Then remove Negative terminal of battery.
11.Now u can carry out job to replace rear brake pad.

Purpose to do this is to depressurize hydraulic in rear brake caliper & to release piston from lock outward .(to deactivate handbrake operation).
So that the piston will be easier to be push back , to fit in new thick brake pad.
