Jay Slater 'may have suffered an accident or fall' as remains found

Senior reporter Stephen Topping for the Manchester Evening News is reporting LIVE from Tenerife where it is believed the body of Jay Slater has been found.

The body was found in the Masca area on the north of Tenerife.

It was uncovered by members of a mountain rescue team from the Spanish Civil Guard today (Monday, July 15).

In a statement released by charity LBT Global on behalf of Jay's family, it has been confirmed that the body found today was discovered near Jay's phone, clothes and possessions.
