The Märklin Telex couplers are available for over 60 years and were up to the introduction of digital controls a privilage to fans of third rail and stud contact layouts. Even the first design is compatible with the modern close couplers. I will show you how to make coupling safer. Then it's much more fun to watch a shunter while performing the automatic coupling function. Additionally there is a conversion of the old telex, which is hardly any inferior to the modern digital coupler. Even connecting with the old Relex couplers is no problem with all of these conversions. Testing was done with a Roco 40343 kinematics and the link motion of a Märklin 49960 dyno car.
