Nearly 170 million people in
Nearly 170 million people in Bangladesh will be voting today to elect 299 lawmakers in the 12th national elections. Amid tight security, the national elections are being carried out at more than 42,000 polling stations. A total of 119.6 million registered voters are eligible to cast their vote, as reported by Bangladesh’s Election Commission. Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina cast her vote in Dhanmondi City College in Dhaka.
