What's to say? This is not a new release (originally released in 2014), but after having a taste of it the other day, I just thought others might like to know what my impressions were on such a rare whisky. Given that Brora was shuttered in 1983, it’s since become one of the most sought-after single malts. Known for having balanced notes of red fruits, wax, brine and a whisp of barnyard and peat smoke, Brora’s are utterly unique. Now you’ve always had to pay a bit for the experience, but back in 2014 the retail price on this was $650. But due to the scarcity and demand, nowadays you'll commonly see Broras and others that have been long discontinued reaching into the thousands at auctions. While this 49.9% expression isn’t the best Brora that I've ever had, any Brora experience is something every whisky enthusiast should try to have.

As of November 2020, my current bottle count is over 2,500. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been accredited by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for more than two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into this collection and career. Thanks for watching and remember to please drink responsibly. Cheers!
