Violent 4th of July in Portsmouth

It was a violent Fourth of July in Portsmouth. Two people were shot just hours apart. One of those shootings was deadly. The first happened at a convenience store on High Street just before 2:30 p.m. Police say 27-year-old Rahsaan Nixon got in a fight with an employee after trying to steal from the store. He died at the hospital. The second shooting happened near the waterfront as the Fourth of July fireworks wrapped up. Police say an argument between two men ended in gunfire. Marta Berglund heard reactions from both police and the public.
