With the Gboard app for Android, you can put together existing emojis to make custom Emoji mashup stickers. Watch this tutorial to learn how to make your own custom Emoji stickers on Android!

To begin, you’ll need to install the Gboard app. You can download it for free from the Google Play Store. To access the Emoji Kitchen feature, you’ll need to sign up for the Gboard beta testing program. We’ll leave a link to this sign up page in the description box below. Tap Become a Tester to join. Once you’re signed up, you’ll receive a beta update for the Gboard app on your Android device. It may take a while for that update to arrive. When it does, install the beta update on your Android device. Then, open the Gboard app and go through the process of allowing the app the required permissions. Tap Enable in Settings, then select Gboard. Tap OK to confirm. Now tap Select Input Method. Select Gboard. Then tap Done. After that, you’ll have the Gboard beta set up and ready to use.
To create your custom mashup emojis, open an app like WhatsApp, Messenger, or Gmail and open your Emoji keyboard. Note that not all apps support these custom Emojis yet, but most of the big ones do. Once this feature is out of beta it’s likely that many more apps will support them. Tap one emoji to see some mashup suggestions appear above your keyboard. If you type a second emoji, you’ll then see a combination of those two emojis appear. Tap one of the emoji mashups to create a sticker of it and send it in your chat or add it as an image in an email. These Emoji mashups are super fun and we can’t wait to explore all the fun combinations you can create.
