Today we build a soil moisture sensor system to measure the moisture of our plants. These sensors work thanks to an ESP32 connected to home automation and Home Assistant with the WiFi network. From the Home Assistant app we will be able to see the moisture of the plants, but not only that, I created an automation that based on how wet the plants are chooses how long to water the plants, to avoid waste. To do this automation you also need an irrigation system connected to home automation, which we built in the last video:
