IT vendors are approaching growing
IT vendors are approaching growing customer interest in the Internet of Things (IoT) in a multitude of ways. TBR analysts have studied the most common vendor IoT business models and go-to-market approaches and analyzed what it will take to make them successful.
On Friday, July 24, 2015, TBR Director of IoT and Devices John Spooner and Principal Analyst Ezra Gottheil hosted a webinar to assess the market situation of IoT, data center hardware, server, storage, networking, software and analytics. They then fielded questions from the audience.
Questions for discussion included:
• What are the key components of IoT from a vendor strategy standpoint, including hardware, software and services?
• How can vendors create an IoT strategy to meet customer needs and their own corporate growth goals?
• What are the most common vendor IoT business models and go-to-market approaches?
• Which vendors serve as the current exemplars?
