The Red Dead Redemption 2 VR mod had the potential to be one of the best VR mods ever, immersing players into the HUGE and visually breathtaking world of RDR2 could have offered hundreds of hours of incredible VR escapism... but the mod was banned before it could reach it's full potential! This is the last working version of the banned VR mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 running on ultra settings on a 4090, this is another 4090 VR gameplay test and RDR2 VR is definitely much smoother on this beast of a GPU but it still has a lot of soft focus/blurriness that it had back on my 2080. Sadly this is probably because Red Dead Redemption 2 VR was banned by TakeTwo before Luke Ross could really fine tune and experiment with the limitations of the mod, meaning this version is incredibly out of date and will likely never work as well as Cyberpunk 2077 or the amazing Resident Evil VR mods. RDR2 VR is still a breath-taking world to walk around in, even thought it doesn't quite live upto the incredible visuals of something like Cyberpunk 2077 VR it's still an experience I'm grateful to have spent some time with, especially now that it runs SO much smoother in the headset thanks to the monsterous 4090 VR performance. I just wish this banned VR game had more time to grow into the experience it had the potential to become.
